·        Unit Descriptor   - CPCCCM2010B Work safely at heights - contained in CPC08 Construction and property services industry skills council, this unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to work safely on construction sites where the work activity involves working above 1.5 meters from the ground level and where fall protection measures are required.

·        Application of the unit - construction work is undertaken on domestic and commercial work sites within new construction, renovation or refurbishment, and maintenance,

·        Pre-Requisites - CPCCOHS2001A Apply OHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry

·        or  - CPCCOHS1001A - work safety in the construction industry

·        Certification -  Students who are deemed competent will receive a statement of attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework, this Certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Savsply Registered Training Organisation (RTO) 91583 in addition a Photo Card will be produced.

·        Course Overview -  This course offers the information, work procedures and instruction required within current WHS legislation to be able to perform work tasks safely, the course uses both theory and practical exercises to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills required to undertake work safely at heights. this course enables the worker to enter construction sites,

·        Heights training is fully portable and can be conducted offsite at your workplace this course can be customised to suit your working environment

·        Work at heights includes - assessment of conditions and hazards , fall protection equipment, passive fall protection devices, work positioning systems, fall arrest systems, harness, guard railing, lifelines, anchorage, inertia reels, twin tailed lanyards, rail systems, carabiners, rope and wire grabs, rescue equipment, shock absorbers, snap hooks, ladders and administration measures. current legislative requirements, identification of equipment defects, inspection of work sites, instruction issued by authorised personal, Safety data sheets (SDS), scaffolding, use of tools and equipment, manual handling, safe work method statements (SWMS), Job safety analysis (JSA)

·        The entire course uses an animated PowerPoint displayed on LCD or projector together with written task, course videos and demonstrations with practical exercises

This includes studying at TAFE or with a private training organisation, completing an apprenticeship or skill set, certificate or diploma course.

A USI account will contain all your nationally recognised training records and results from 1 January 2015 onwards. Your results from 2015 will be available in your USI account in 2016.
